We were only on Crete for a day, but this was the perfect way to get an introduction to the island! Our driver was awesome and told us all about village life and traditions as we drove to our stops.

The fellows at the soap company were such a delight! It was quite interesting and I loved their passion! Same with the Olive Oil producer. He was such a delight (and the olive oil was some of the best I’ve ever had - including many tastings in Tuscany!) The wine tasting stop was lovely and picturesque- we enjoyed that as well.

The best part though, if I’m honest, was the lunch stop at the small taverna. It was the best lamb we had on our 20 days in Greece! Wish I would have gotten the name so we can revisit on a future trip! (We decided to return to Crete next year for a longer stay of 9 nights because this tour made us fall in love with Crete!)

All of the wine and food was fabulous. My friend and I even brought home a bottle of Za Za Zu each back to the US! Shuttle service even took us back to our stay in Heraklion- SO appreciated that we didn’t have to coordinate transit/taxi to the winery and back. 100 recommend this experience for a few hours of entertainment outside of Heraklion and as a way to see a less urban part of Crete!

They offer pickup from a lot of selected hotels. They text you the night before the exact location of the... read more pickup (our pickup hotel had two entrances, but they even specified which entrance we should wait at), the car type, colour, number plate, so you cannot miss it.
As one previous review said, our driver Tony is indeed a legend. Has all the knowledge of the region, and most importantly, he is a really confident driver.
Everything is as they advertise it: soap workshop, winery with tasting, olive tasting, the know-how of making these amazing products, and last, but not least, the delicious launch in a small, authentic village.
One previous review said that they don't offer water at some of the stops. Maybe this was true before, but not anymore. Every destination had small bits of appetizers and cold water. We brought some snacks and water with us, but did not need it.
You don't have to walk much on any of the destinations, everything is comfortable and in place.
All in all, we had a perfect time, and can recommend this trip with our whole hearts. If you want to get a small peek inside the real, traditional Crete, the countryside, this is the choice you have to make!
